Portrait Drawing

I completed this commissioned portrait in December- in the chaotic time right before my move to Dallas, TX. It forced me to take breaks from the chaos of finishing work and packing to listen to sci fi shows and draw for hours. It was tricky to get detail on the handmade paper, but it came out fine and got such a great response. I’m starting my next one as soon as the paper arrives.

3D

While on a dig in the garage, I found some treasure.

Pachycephalosaurus sculpture, circa 1994

“Ruth Baker” also circa 1994, named after my great grandmother.

Wolf Box

VNA charity rummage sale, 2x a year. Other than the parks, it is possibly the best part about living in my area of New Jersey. Last year I got my Morris the Cat shirt.

This year I found a strange box with a picture of a wolf on it. It is awesome and is perfect for my sewing supplies.

Richard Birkett, Fantasy Clockmaker

Passed this guy on the street by Union Square, then passed him on the laughingsquid. Some artists whose work I like still make me cringe a little when they talk about it…not him, “This is what time it is, but which planet am I on? Why am I doing what I’m doing right now?”

“Dream with Cats” by Karl Kerschl

What fun! Especially for someone who loves sandman, cats, and art. This is a commissioned piece by Karl Kerschl from a few years back.

Testy Test!

This is a test blog post.

My website is now running entirely as a custom wordpress (even the portfolio, the sketchbook, and the new homepage!) and this test post is to help us see how the blog formatting looks in the feed.

If you are on the old feed, you probably want to check out http://feeds.feedburner.com/behepp, which is my new feed address.

Also, I’m moving up north soon. I just finished some lovely work in Savannah, GA and I’ll soon be doing some exciting projects in New England.

Best,

Beth!
